A friend of mine recently asked me why I’m so passionate about my blog, since it’s “just a blog”. It’s an interesting question. And one that I haven’t really thought about before.
Personally, it’s more than just a blog to me. It’s a place where I can share my thoughts and express myself. It’s something that I can use to (hopefully) offer value to people. It’s a tool that I can use to impact people and help them (once again, hopefully).
Phil Gerbyshak recently commented on my blog, “Glad to have some help changing the world, one blog reader at a time! Keep it up! Your impact is FAR greater than you know or can imagine!” Sarah Deutsch has mentioned that she’s been inspired by me.
And it’s precisely that which keeps me passionate about my blog, I guess. The hope that I can make an impact, and help change the world, even if it’s only one person at a time. It’s the hope of making a difference that drives me.
To all you bloggers out there, what about you? Why do you blog?
