I’ve been blogging for almost a year now. 10 months or so, I think. And the problem I’m starting to face is, that as I gain more experience, I start critiquing myself more. I start thinking (or over-thinking) whether I should write the post. I start wondering about how much value I’m adding (if any). And too often, it hinders me from writing. Same thing happens in my songwriting.
The problem with experience is that you know what can go wrong. You’re more aware of what is wrong. And as such, you’re less likely to just do something. It’s a problem I know. But something I still haven’t managed to overcome.
Any thoughts or suggestions?
Don't self censor! I think everything has value =)
Daryl Tay's last blog post..Win A Wii Or Macbook Air!
Thanks. =). Haha. I guess I'm just worried about cluttering up people's RSS readers without adding much value.

Hello! I think I can kind of understand what you are trying to get at. But Daryl's right. Everything has value, and I guess it's just a matter of it applying to different people with different needs. Anyway you're the most serious blogger I know, so great work! Why don't you blog about something amusing or humourous for a change..? XD

Hi Vera..thanks for dropping by. =). Something amusing or humorous…well…not really in the scope of my blog, I guess?

I've experienced the opposite… When I first started blogging (3 years ago), I had some kind of stage fright! The more I write the less anxious I feel about what I put out there.
Hopefully my stuff hasn't started the descent into becoming RSS spam!

Haha. Yeah, could work either way, I guess. For me, I guess I didn't expect much from myself when I first started blogging. As I blog more, I expect myself to improve, so I place more pressure on myself to do better.
And well, I've only recently subscribed to your blog, and so far, it definitely hasn't been anywhere near being RSS spam. =).
