You know how cds and some books have an “acknowledgments” section of sorts, where they list and thank the people who’ve inspired them and made a difference to their life? Yeah, this is my version of it. This is probably going to be one of the most personal (and emotionally sappy) pages you’ll find on my blog, but these people deserve it, so I hope you’ll bear with me – or just click away if you don’t want to read it.
So here goes. In no particular order, I would like to thank:
My mum – Thanks for supporting me and giving me the freedom to forge my own path.
Simin – You’re one of the most (if not the most) important person in my life. Even now, despite everything. You’ve been a great inspiration, and someone who’s really brought out the best of me. If not for you, I wouldn’t be who I am today. Thank you.
Samantha Wong – Thank for always being there for me. For always supporting me, for being there and helping me through some of the lowest points in my life.
Kai Hui – If not for you, I literally might not even be alive right now. And I’ll always be thankful for that. And more than that, for the times you stood by me, for all the times you’ve just shown that you care. You’ve been a real bright spark in my life. Thank you.
Grace Huang – You were one of the first people I could truly trust and count on. Thanks for being there throughout everything. I know I can be really annoying at times, but thanks for your patience. You’ve really been a great friend.
Elaine Lee – I know we haven’t really talked much lately, but thanks for all the help and encouragement you’ve given to me. Thanks for always being there when I needed someone to talk to.
Li Hsia – Thank you. For everything. For being such an awesome friend, for all your patience, for being such an inspiration, for caring, for everything. You’ve done so much for me. You’re truly one of the most amazing (and nicest) people I know. And yeah. Thank you.
Cindy – We haven’t known each other that long, but still, you’ve been a huge inspiration and a really good friend. Thanks for being someone I can truly be myself with, for not judging me. You’re really a very unique and awesome person, and really inspiring. It’s an honor having you as a friend.
Natalie Yeo – Thanks for always being such an inspiration and encouragement. You kept me on my walk with God and helped me through various circumstances, keeping me from giving up on God. Your faith has really been an inspiration. And thanks for all the advice you’ve given me.
Priscilla – Well, what’s there for me to say. Thanks for being around all the time. For helping me so much with everything. For being so amazingly fun. It’s been really great knowing you, talking to you, hanging out with you. You’re truly awesome – and I hope you always remember that.
