The Economist has a good write up on Steve Jobs, one of my modern day idols. Steve Jobs has changed the world. He’s changed the way people view computing, and he’s, in my opinion, a great innovator, one of the greatest in the past few decades.

The write-up talks about how Steve Jobs has managed to reinvent himself and how if he can’t create a new category, he reinvents the old one. He doesn’t settle for being just another player in the industry.

We can all take a lesson from this. If you can’t create a whole new category, opportunities abound from reinventing the old one. Don’t settle for being just another player.
