That’s one of the most overused words in today’s culture. “Revolutionary” products come out probably every few months. But what is a real revolution. For a real revolution to happen, there has to be a significant change. Something new has to happen, something that has never been done before.

But “revolution” also has another meaning. It also means a cycle of a motion. It’s a movement in which the object returns to the original point.

Revolutions do eventually run their turn and eventually return to the starting point. Things that are revolutionary eventually become cliched. To progress, we need to have continuous revolutions, just as how a car needs its wheels to revolve continuously in order to move smoothly. That should be what we aim for: new developments, new revolutions every time the old one ends. We shouldn’t ever settle for the cliched.
