One of the speakers at Hillsong Conference told a story about his time in the navy. On one of their first trips at sea, a lot of the new recruits were seasick. An experienced officer suggested to them to look far out at the horizon. When they did that, it helped overcome their seasickness, because the horizon looks a lot less choppy and a lot calmer.

It’s the same for our lives. We face problems and storms in our lives. But if you look out, if you look forward at what lies ahead on the horizon, you’ll realise that things are a lot calmer than they seem.
