Scott Adams (the creator of Dilbert) writes about his ‘Champagne Moments’, and shows us the process he had to undergo to come out on top.

A couple of things I’ve picked up from that.

Firstly, the importance of being number one. He writes about how life changed when he went from number two to number one. Being number one, being the first and the best, is important. It’s exponentially better than being second.

The second lesson is the value of always aiming higher. As I said in a previous post, if we’re already living the dream, we have nowhere to go from there. We need to continually dream new dreams, to always aim higher. There’s always a reason to hold the champagne.
