About Me, Derrick Kwa
Born in 16 December 1990, in Singapore. I’m just an average guy, trying to forge his own path. I’m a huge believer in standing out, and being your own person – and never settling for anything less than the best.
I’m a former student of NUS High School, as well as Victoria School, St Hilda’s Primary and Yumin Primary. I worked part time for about a year with Design Rendezvous. I’ve been blogging since May 2007.

Sui Generis is an encouragement to “Let your true colors shine through”.
Too many people in the world today are willing to settle for the status quo, just going through life doing what the world expects of them. My blog, Sui Generis, is about encouraging you to step out of that. To truly be yourself, and pursue your passions.
It’s not a blog which gives you quick lists and tips on becoming rich or anything like that. It’s about sharing with you the lessons I’ve learned in my life, from the things around. Hopefully, it will get you thinking about what’s going on in your life as well. And in doing so, get you to not just go through life blindly, doing what society expects, but to really do what means the most to you.
It’s about letting you really be your best self. Do that, and you can make an impact on the world.
